Quellan CTO Joy Laskar Appointed Schlumberger Chair in Microelectronics at Georgia Tech
Quellan co-Founder Awarded Largest Faculty Endowment for Analog Electronics
Joy Laskar, co-founder and CTO of Quellan Inc., was awarded the Schlumberger Chair in Microelectronics at Georgia Tech's School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. This achievement is not only the greatest faculty endowment for Analog Electronics at Georgia Tech University but also one of the largest endowments in the United States. Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) is the largest of nine schools and departments in the College of Engineering at Georgia Tech.
A faculty member with ECE since 1995, Joy has held the Joseph M. Pettit Professorship in Electronics since 2001 and is the director of the Georgia Electronic Design Center. He leads the Microwave Applications Group, consisting of 40 graduate students and researchers who study the integration of high frequency mixed signal electronics for next generation wireless and wireline systems.
