Lab Technician (Santa Clara, CA)
Quellan seeks an experienced and self motivated lab technician to join our growing team in Santa Clara. Responsibilities include conducting a wide variety of measurements to support product development in both wired and wireless communications applications and ensuring that all test equipment calibrations remain up to date.

Responsibilities:

• Assembling and reworking PCB assemblies.
• Soldering fine pitch surface mount components.
• Testing high speed PCB assemblies and chips on ATE.
• Documenting PCB assembly testing results.
• Preparing and packaging evaluation board and PCB kits for customer shipment.
• Managing component and kit inventories.

Qualifications:

• 10 years of applicable experience working with semiconductor components.
• Familiarity with the function and operation of pattern generators, oscilloscopes, RF modulators, spectrum analyzers and network analyzers.
• Strong organizational skills for recording measured data.
• A functional knowledge of Microsoft Outlook (email), Excel, and Word are required to document test results.
• Experience with National Instruments Labview and rack system ATE is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
The wide range of measurements to be conducted will often require reconfiguring equipment for a particular test. The candidate should be physically able to move test equipment as needed and should be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds of force frequently.
