Lab Technician (Santa Clara, CA)
Quellan seeks an experienced and self motivated lab technician to join our growing team in Santa Clara. Responsibilities include conducting a wide variety of measurements to support product development in both wired and wireless communications applications and general assembly/debug/rework of high speed boards and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Setup and conduct application verification measurements for both wired and wireless applications.
• Setup and perform system characterization measurements to support new product development.
• Maintain inventory of applications testing resources.
• Schedule test equipment calibrations as needed.
• Order equipment and supplies as needed.
• Assemble prototype boards and systems.
• Bring-up and debug of boards and systems.

Qualifications:

• Two year technical degree preferred.
• 1+ years of high speed electronics lab experience.
• Familiarity with the function and operation of pattern generators, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers.
• Strong organizational skills for recording measured data.
• Strong soldering and mechanical assembly skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel.
• Experience with signal integrity issues such as channel loss, crosstalk, noise, impedance control, and dispersion a plus.

Physical Requirements:
The wide range of measurements to be conducted will often require reconfiguring equipment for a particular test. The candidate should be physically able to move test equipment as needed and should be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds of force frequently.
